Despite widespread popular support for gender equality, African women are still disadvantaged by persistent gender gaps in education, employment, control over key assets, and access to technology, a new analysis from Afrobarometer shows.
New book: The Politics of Social Protection in Eastern and Southern Africa
Sam Hickey & Tom Lavers (University of Manchester), Miguel Niño-Zarazúa (UNU-WIDER) and Jeremy Seekings (University of Cape Town) have edited this book, published by Oxford University Press.
IDCPPA working paper incentive programme
Postgraduate students working on topics related to democracy, citizenship and public policy in Africa may submit papers of between 8,000 and 15,000 words for publication in the IDA's Working Paper series.
